That's funny because Loki comes running! It's poultry flavored. I even got him a doggie electric toothbrush. He hates the actual brushing part, but tolerates it because I let him chew on the brush a little after. I do it every other day or so especially when his breath gets nasty. People roll their eyes about it, but I'm hoping to never have to pay for a doggie dental. Although, I told my dental hygenist about it and she always writes me notes on that reminder postcard to "Keep brushing that puppy's teeth!"

Oh and if anyone cares, I buy the soft kids toothbrushes, whatever's on sale at Target for $.97. They get used 3 or 4 times before he chews them up. He thinks they are a toy - a very special toy that only comes out 2 minutes a day.

I started as soon as I got her. I feel the yoyunger they are the more likely they are to tolerate it.

I try to remember to do it every night, but usually end up just a couple of times a week. Always on bath days.

Punkin also loves the toothpaste and loves chewing on the brush as well. That's great advice on the kiddie brushes - much better than the 6.00 at the doggie store.

Punkin loves the paste so much she licks and licks and sometimes it's hard to move the brush around. I haven't been so diligent in a routine but we are now trying to brush before her evening walk. Hopefully that works...

Sweetie has her teeth brushed each day when I comb and do her ponytail. She does not think too much about it. I'm not very good at it but I do get the back teeth brushed.

I have a seven month old Yorkie and brush her teeth every other day! It's a little bit of a struggle but it gets done! She loves the toothbrush from Petedge that she can chew on for a couple of minutes on her own! It's much easier but not sure if it's as effective as my doing it! Good luck!

I've heard so much about Life for Teeth gel that I bought some and are awaiting it's arrival. I've been using Dentatreat for a couple of weeks. You sprinkle it on their food. The woman I got Cookie from told me there is a group of people that go to grooming establishments and clean dogs teeth. They are called Canine Care and are all over the US. Their phone number is 1-800-844-3532. I thought I might give them a call. The cost is around $60 and they do not put the dog under anesthesia. Has anyone else heard of them?

I got the ''plaque off'' at the vets, it was £7 gbp so like $14 usd. Im not sure if its available in any shops? it works really well
