Yes, I will get the others their shots, but I think I'll hold off on Tia. I'm my gosh! Where will they put the needle??? Have you raise pups for a long time? Have you always bred Yorkies? I know , when you love these little guys sooo much , its hard not to help out. I say now I won't do it again.....but we'll see what the future brings! I sure hope Tia is my success story like Joker is yours. I'm so darn attached to her, its scary. I call her Tia Marie now ![]()

Well guys....she's gained some weight !!!!!!!!! Its hard to get an accurate reading cuz she moves around so much BUT she was at 13 oz. I'm so happy ! Little booger will still not eat food. I try. She'll lick it, just a little, but gags. She just wants her bottle. I even liquified some soft food and she wasn't even digging that. I took somepictures for everyone last night and tried to post them but they were too big and it wouldn't let me. She was having a spicy moment, acting all crazy and attacking her mom. She was having a ball and I'm bummed I couldn't share the pics. I think her speech is effected. She makes weird noices and I think she tried to bark last night. She sounds more like a cat than a dog. She likes to attack my face and she does it with so much force! She bites my nose and lips. Her face shows so much determination. I sure wish I could say we are out of the woods. I am hoping. I just don't know what the future is going to bring with her cleft. I don't want her to have surgery. I've heard too many horror stories. She's 8 weeks old this Sunday. Oh I bought the Cearsars and mighty dog. Nothing ![]()

| ![]() Energy and weight gain! Wonderful progress Breny. Im so happy along with you. Go Tia go! Im sorry the foods I recommended didnt help her appetite. She is a real survivor, so she may just not want to eat that canned or gooey stuff. If it is making her cough and gag then she just cant handle it. It most likely affects her breathing and gets in the nasal passage. She probably can not tolerate the semi solid food and probably will have to just go directly to dry food and water only. Is she licking the formula more on her own yet? Have you tried repositioning the formula yet (such as she comfortably feeds with you)? A Water bottle maybe?........................This is just a thought. No I havent always raised yorkies. Just about 3 yrs now. Always a learning experience, always a work of art. You could spend a life time trying to learn all of it and still not know it all. I just love what I do. (most days.... ![]() But I am no stranger to animals. I have always had a special love for dogs and horses. I could write a book about my experiences with animals in general! I just love them. But I raise only yorkies and have one rescued 25 yr old mare who entertains my kids with great horseback rides in our pasture.. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | ![]() I have some Amoxicillin Suspension 30 ml , 50 mg/ml 2 bottles, that my vet prescribed for my cat on 08/21 for his bladder infection. Is this something I should give Tia? Is it bad that it comes out her nose??? |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | ![]() I got this from the hennwood website I learned from : Water does not cause an issue when it goes up in the nose, formula or gruel will set up a nasty sinus infection so that is why they totally skip that part. As mentioned the water up into nasal passages can actually be beneficial. If there is any debris up in the nasal passages, dirt, etc. a common occurrence as pups learn the great outdoors, the water actually helps rinse out the nasal passages for a better description. They also develop a total tolerance to it, the more they drink the better they do as far as any out the nose and they get so it is of no issue at all. I think of how it feels to get water up in my nose, but evidently with regular exposure their nasal passages adapt. Just another great way of Mother Nature. I figured since Tia has only been having formula that hopefully it was ok that some of it was coming up thru her nose. |
