What Laundry Detergent do you use??

I made the switch one that is Free of Everything. I stopped using Fabric Softner, not even the drier sheets.

yep i use free of dye and pefumes and no softeners too - what kind do you use ? I have tried tide free, armor hammer baking soda as baking soda takes out smells and others do not seem to and purex

i thought a lot of dogs are allergic to beef, chicken, wheat, corn and soy?

I did pinto bean, safflower oil and potato diet for 3 months and still dd itched like crazy

Besides the meds, I also use Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Shampoo which is carried at Petco but not at Petsmart. You can read about them online http://www.earthbath.com/oatmeal&aloe_pint.html

I also use Earthbathe on my two itchy yorkies. And I changed their food to Natural Balance Duck & Potoato, and sometimes they eat the Fish & Sweet Potato. AND I've been aggressive about treating them for fleas which are rampant in my yard. Luckily they aren't itchy anymore!

Have the vet do a swab test between her toes, and you may find fungus which is easily remedied with a specialized shampoo that has to be left on for 10--15 minutes. Malaseb Shampoo

Last month the new vet took a swab between his paw (toes), placed under a microscope and he has fungus. Three baths already have helped him immensely and he has quit licking and chewing his paws.

another shampoo for this is keta chlor by virbac as my dermatologist said she has seen less negative reaction with keta chlor than malaseb - dd got a hotspot from malaseb - maybe ask vet what their recommendation is and experience between the two as well - i think they both are for the same thing let me know

Dont' mean to "hijack" your post, but that is interesting about the Keta Chlor. I see the vet next week, and will inquire about switching to your recommendation. Assume it is available through a vet and not over the counter? Thanks, Deborah

yes i got it from the vet it was $18 if you buy it check the expiration date as should be good for over one year - inventory gets a little wierd at vets and i have been sold expired stuff before
