| Benadryl? Diesel's eyes are very runny. It is clear and doesn't have any color. In the morning when he wake up his face is bone dry. The vet said it could be allergies and that I could try giving him some benadryl. Has anyone used this before? I haven't given it to him yet becuase I am scared to. I know that it knocks me out so I can only imagine what it will do to him. Michelle |

| I had to give it to Sophie for her allergies this spring. It really helped her and didn't affect her the way it does me. You couldn't tell she had taken anything other than the itching stopped. Make sure you check with your vet for dosage but I think it would be fine.

| He said to give him 6 mg. I have no idea how i am going to get it in him. I would have to use the liquid in order to give him the correct amount. Disel is between 4.5 and 5 pounds. Last time I weighed him he hadn't even reached the 5 pound mark yet. Just curious how much does yours get and how do you give it to him? thanks for the help. Michelle |

| Sophie is 12lbs so she gets 12.5mg. I use a syringe to measure the correct dose and just squirt a little in her mouth at a time. Let me know how it goes.

| Last weekend my vet also gave me a bottle of benadryl for Peanut. He told me to give him 1.28 (mg? dont know the correct scale). At first I used a syringe and squirted into his mouth, but he hated that. So instead i just mix it into his soft food and he gobbles it up. Peanuts symptoms were runny eyes, nose, and sneezing. |
