| Vomiting My baby Miso just vomited three times within an hour today. I'm very concerned considering he is only 10 weeks old. Theres no blood its just very salivary like and brownish discoloration. Also when I feel his abdomen it is very distended and firm. Could this be caused by fluid retention perhaps, because he does drink a lot of water, or the fact that he eats every leaf, grass, and whatever else there is in site? I also made him go up some steps after he went outside to go potty, could sudden excercise be a factor? I'm very worried...so does anyone have suggestions and answers? Thanks |

| Take your baby to the vet...asap. Also, if your baby doesn't want water, take a syringe (without a needle, obviously) and give him water with pedialyte (50%/50%). I would also give him a little bit of honey or karo syrup so that you she doesn't go into hypoglocemia shock. Has he been eating, it's important that they eat (maybe some boiled chicken with rice, no seasonings what-so-ever) Regarding the stairs, it takes a lot out of these little guys to climb up and down. You've gotta remember he's just a baby. I don't suggest that at such a little age you make him go up and down stairs, he'll do it soon enough on his own. Give him a couple of weeks. Mine just started to do that and he's 3 months. old and I only let him do about 3 stairs the entire day. Good luck and keep us posted.

| Thanks for the help I took him to the doctor this afternoon and she said to have him eat Hill's prescription diet for 3 days. So I'm going to start doing that but he seems fine today. No vomiting no nothing. Last night I called the vet and they said to fast him for a couple hours so I fasted him for 3 hrs and he still kept needing to go outside to pee. I'm thinking that he had some serious fluid retention, because every minute literally he had to go outside and let me tell you that was hard but hes fine today still the little crazy puppy, but thank you for the advice I'll keep it in mind for next time this scare comes up...hopefully not though |
