| ![]() Just wondering what the best time is to do it. He will be 6 months in a couple of days. He weighs 10lbs so I know he weighs enough. Will neutering calm him down a bit? What would happen if we don't neuter him? Just wondering about my options. There is no worry of him breeding. I just read an article that someone else posted, but it didn't make any sense to me really ![]() |

| ![]() I got Chachi neutered at 7 months but my vet would have did it at 6 months. The benefits of neutering are they probably wont mark and there are health benefits. They dont get testicular cancer. Chachi had no problems after his neutering. He has calmed down but I dont know if the neuter was the cause of it

| ![]() Toby was neutered last Monday and he just turned 6 mo. old. I can't say that's it's slowed him down as of yet, but he seems more loving and cuddly now? One of the biggest benefits where my house is concerned is I have other male dogs and I didn't want to deal with the marking instinct and them having potty parties in my house.

| ![]() Well.....I would say.......get him neutered ASAP! within the next month as long as your vet agrees. He is still a puppy but he will be getting certain instinctual patterns coming up (LIKE MARKING FURNITURE) , you wont see a real slowing down of his physical activity. But anytime he will hear the call of nature. If he is a pet neuter him soon or he may start habits you do not like. Anytime he will become sexually ready and if he is a pet it is best to neuter him before marking starts, its more difficult to stop later.. |
