				   |      wow i didnt realize it was ok to give them fruit!! poor sirius hasnt tried ANY fruit yet, but looks like hes gonna have some oranges with dinner tonight!!

				   |      I didnt know it was ok to give them fruit either until recently he was all over me when I was eating peaches.. at first I was scared to give him some. I didnt want his tummy to hurt or for him to have diahrrea.. but he loved it and he was fine. SO then I moved on to other fruits and he is loving me for it!

				   |      Yay! Nina loves fruits! She eats apples, oranges, bananas and loooooves strawberries! Whoa I'm glad I checked out this thread though, I didn't know that grapes were toxic and she has had a couple in her puppy lifetime... !      how are they poisonous to dogs? if you don't mind my asking     |

				   |      True - grapes and raisins (which are grapes) aren't good for dogs.        This has been posted on many many threads in the past - and is always on lists of foods that dogs shouldn't eat. Apparently, eating a lot of these can eventually cause liver or kidney damage. BUT - my pup has had an occasional grape (and once even ate a small bowel full) - without getting sick - I'm sure that since he is not going to get anymore - the few he has eaten will cause him no harm.
