| My Yorkie is sick/Has Bronchitis/Breathing heavily/Loose Stools My Yorkies is 13 weeks and he has bronchitis. I took him to the vet and had him x-rayed and he is on meds. But today he was acting like he couldn't breathe and I almost freaked out because I didn't know what was going on. He did that twice. Each episode was only like a couple of seconds long. So he stopped doing that. So I took him out of his crate to give him some water and he didn't drink any. Instead he pee peed right there. So okay I put him back in his cage and he is acting like he is having a hard time sleeping. So I leave out the room to call the emergency Vet and she said check his gums. So I go back in there and he pooed in his cage. It was loose and a lot. I was like what is wrong with him? I am wondering if he ate too much because his stomach was kinda fat? Or does it have anything to do with his bronchitis? Can anyone please help? |

| try not to worry (yeah right) the meds that the vet has put him on might just be the reason that his stools are runny.. and if it all possible maybe proping up his crate to help elevate him so the fluids wont settle in his little nose causing him breathing problems, kind of like a small child with bronchitis and It might not hurt to try pedilite to replace his electrolites. please keep us posted!! |

In my case I had to use first Cough Sirup with antibiotics and at the second visit to the VET he got a steroid injection which seem to help him a lot :-) He is coughing far less and had a good sleep during the night. Further I also had to get ear drops since this Kennel cough caused him also a Ear Infection....not sure if it was something to do with mites? Anyway be very carefull and watch out that he eats and drinks ok. Is he still very active? | |

| Yes he is very active and playful. He had only one loose stool? He is eating fine and playing fine also. I was just worried about that? Does his bronchitis have to do with his breathing? Because he didn't have another loose stool? I was just a little worried? He is on a cough suppresant and Amoxy. I will kepp you all posted. Thanks for you all helping out.

| I am so sorry to hear your baby is sick and hope he begins to show improvement very soon! If he still is having the same type problems with his breathing, maybe you should give the vet a call and maybe get some medicine to open his bronchial tubes. I wish you and your baby the best and am thinking of you! |
