| Crying's not bad, it just breaks your heart! I was weak and let Bailey sleep with me right away - I gave in to the crying. But I love it! He goes to bed with me every night, I put a couple quiet toys in bed with us - ex. - his bear and a bone - and he either goes right to sleep or lays and chews while I go to sleep. We never play together in bed - so he understands that it's only sleeptime not playtime. BUT, I'm single w/ a king size bed and that may not be for you! I've heard putting a clock under a pillow or blanket in with them is calming because it mimics their mother's heartbeat. But it just needs time to adjust to it's new home and habits. Don't worry! ~Kelley |

| I had a 10 day deadline made by my breeder to take Luna to the vet, who was 9 weeks at the time. I would take your pup when he/she is around 8-9 weeks, by then it's usually time for their 2nd round of shots. PS- the crying definately will stop by the time they are 3-4 months or a bit sooner. Luna would cry her little heart out at first, but it didn't last for long. She'd cry for like 5-7 minutes then fall asleep...cry a bit later...then fall asleep again, now she doesn't cry or make a sound during the night, unless she hears something and starts to bark as protection. Also, I never babied her with it, I was afraid she'd get use to it and use the crying as a way to get my attention. I would just let her cry, cruel I know, but it works. It also helps them overcome seperation anxiety, just like babies. They have to know they'll be ok, even when alone.

| I made a ramp of pillows so he could get up and down from the bed! I was worried I roll over him or he'd fall - but I've been doing it for 7 months with no problems! ~Kelley |

| Vet check i too had a deadline on taking my pup to the vet. the first one I got had liver shunt, pneumonia, etc. and died (became sick within 24 hours after receipt of the pup) Long story short, after filing a small claims lawsuit against Backyard Breeder (if I knew then what I know now) I met him at his vets to get two puppies to compensate me for vet bills and original price on the first pup. His vet gave me a health certificate for both pups. Within 24 hours the one pup was deathly ill, I took it immeidately to my vet, they hospitalized the pup, HE HAD PARVO. The only two dogs I have ever had in my apartment were these three. And parvo does not come on that fast. Plus I took these pups directly home, no stops at all. BB came and picked up the sick pup, after I spent another $300, his wife had a yorkie that he had gotten her on her lap, when I took the sick one out to his SUV, she had just gotten it, I told him, unless you want to go back to court, that is the dog I WANT, and that is the dog I got. I reported both him and his vet to Consumer Affairs here in California and his vet to the Veternary Board. After spending another $600 to get these pups in decent health, Benni has discolored teeth due to the BB giving him to strong an antibiotic while his adult teeth were still forming, they are fine, just look terrible. I would never buy a pup the way I did these two in spite of how much I love them. |

| Get your puppy to the vet!!!! He needs those shots and a good check-up!!! I was also worried my little one would get sick from the vet office..(just like I HATE taking the grandkids to the Pediatricians....TONS OF GERMS!!!!)...but I transport her in a small carrier and I take a big white towel........The entire time I am holding her..in the carrier...or sitting on the white towel.... I never let her roam around on the floor or on any countertops... Once she gets her final shots....(the end of this week)...I will feel a bit more comfortable about where she goes. Likewise....avoid places like PetSmart, dog parks and such until all the shots are current and up to date! |

| Parvo I want to mention something about parvo. Most vet recommend NO new litters for 6 motnhs after parvo is found in the kennel. You will never get rid of many problems until you stop, disinfect everything, make sure all dogs are vaccinated and well, let the viruses die off..some lay dormant for months.
