| Food Allergies Just wondering if you could give me your thoughts on food allergies? Our 11 month old puppy constantly is scratching her ears. The vet has looked at her ears every time we bring her in and they always look good! No signs of infection or sores at all. He seems to think she has seasonal allergies? She does lick her paws sometimes and rub her face. He has mentioned an allergy shot to see if it helps .. cytopoint (is she to young)? I’ve asked about an allergy to chicken … and he said we could do a food change as well to see if that could be it? Just feel so bad for her. Thanks for your thoughts. |

| Food allergies are rare so I would go with it probably being environmental. I would try the cytopoint shot it has worked great for Penny.

| Thank you, it does seem so many have environmental allergies! We will give cytopoint a try and see if it helps. I worried she is to young to start the shot? How often do you give it to Penny? |

| My lil fellow has environmental and food allergies. He too also scratches at his ears, sometimes it's a yeast or bacteria infection. This year it's just allergies. He gets a cytopoint shot and he's good for 4 to 6 months. Your vet should know if your lil lass is old enough for the shot. When Cody was very bad he needed a shot every 6 weeks for 18 months, he was good for a year, now it's usually twice a year for the shot.
