| Glyphosate (Roundup) in CHEERIOS I can not find anything more current to put my mind at ease that this issue is resolved. All studies are done referring to EPA/FDA glyphosate levels determined safe for adults and children. And for me, all that is highly suspicious. I stopped giving my pups Cheerios the day this news broke, and I stopped eating them myself. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this. https://www.health.com/nutrition/cheerios-cancer

| I always ate Cherrios in the morning until one year ago. I noticed they had a chemical taste so I quit them. That stuff is in other cereals and foods we eat,no wonder there is so much cancer. Susan |

| Wow, I didn't know this, Cheerios is my most favorite cereal. 5 years ago I used them for treats in teaching Cody commands and tricks. Just one tiny Cheerio. Thank you for this link, I am posting it on my FB page.

| Thank you for sharing. I've seen a lot of posts here about cheerios used for training. I quit buying any kind of ready breakfast cereal for myself years ago. They put so much sugar in it and unnecessary things like starch, which helps it stay crispy but is absolutely unnecessary to eat for breakfast. I make granola for myself - i urge everyone to try takes hardly half hour, use plain rolled oats, you can adjust it to your liking however you want, add nuts, dried fruits, spices, sea salt, chocolate nibs and all those nutritional things and store in airtight container for weeks. As for Mike, I make him little oat crackers/biscuits for training and they store very well in the fridge for few weeks as well. |

| I’m a little leery about this honestly. I think we are looking at the whole arsenic in rice thing again just a different scenario. The EPA and FDA just released a statement to say that, that ingredient does not cause cancer. Also you don’t know that every farmer uses roundup. I’m sure there is worse stuff in the food or most of the foods we eat. Based on what people say just about every thing will cause cancer. I stopped giving cherrios as treats a few years back because Callie is the only one who ate them. If I get a craving for cherrios though I’m probably still going to eat them.

I don’t trust studies because they only make public the ones that prove their point, on either side. My main concern with glyphosate in foods is that the acceptable levels are determined for humans, not our small dogs who weigh a fraction of what a human weighs. So maybe safe for us, not so much for them. All dog owners also have to be careful walking their dogs being sure to keep them off of areas treated with Roundup. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-m...-idUSKBN1KV2HB https://www.baumhedlundlaw.com/toxic...p-lawsuit-faq/ https://www.businessinsider.com/glyp...dup-epa-2019-5
