| quick question I have my 6 month old on Innova Evo - he had been on Eukanuba in the pet store and he never ate. When I brought him home his coat was dry and flaking - they were totally relying on NutraStat to keep him a little beefed up. I also have a black shar-pei that has been on Innova Evo since 7 months old (he's almost 2 now). He does great on it... I noticed, at first, that my yorkie's stools were fine on the innova evo but then suddenly he started getting loose stools.... is it possibly too much protein? Should I be mixing with another product like california natural??? Anybody go through this.... I've learned to give him a lot less - so he has about 1/3 c in the morning... and again at night... Thanks everyone in advance. Claudia with her furry friend, Linus. |

| I used to recommend Innova all the time but won't anymore. It has garlic in it which I thought was just fine in small amounts. I have recently read that even small amounts of garlic given over a period of time can cause dermatitis, asthmatic attacks and anemia. It seems that it isn't always larger amounts that cause it and nobody can predict the dogs this will happen to. Hemolytic anemia is extremely serious. It isn't worth the risk to me. http://www.pets.ca/encyclopedia/imha_dog.htm

| Some info Well....today I ventured into the feed store and I met for the first time the owner who just happens to be quite the authority on the various dog foods. He felt that the Innova Evo was probably waayyyy too much protein for a small yorkie....he suggested Innova puppy food... So we will try it. I have had great results with the Evo on my larger dog (shar-pei). Let me know your thoughts.. God Bless.... Claudia and Linus |

| Sophie loves Innova. Her tearry eyes and scratching stopped once she began eating it. She loves it. I have to special order it. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Yes, it's the chicken, but they no longer call it the Super 5 Mix, they've changed the name to "Wellness Just For Puppy."

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | I was so excited to find Wellness while visiting my daughter last nite. Heard all the great things about it! Bella won't even touch it. I've spoiled her now with mixing canned food, so she licks around the dry food. Should I leave the dry out for a while to entice her to eat dry again? I feel bad for spoiling her, but then feel bad for not giving her the canned?? I so badly want to get her on the right track with her diet though!!

| I think we have tried almost everything out there! We just switched Wrigley to Innova from Canidae, she just wouldn't eat the Canidae at all. I think the kibble was too big for her. So far so good, she seems to really like the Innova, but she usually eats a certain food for awhile and then gets bored and we have to switch! They are picky little eaters! I think she takes after me!
