I could not believe, when I was Ready to leave she brought it out to show me, now I don’t know if this was the Sample she was talking about but she gave me a 9.5lb. Bag😊 She had also said if I choose something else to Stay away from the Grain Free Brands/formulas. She was a very concerned very qualified Cardiologist, FurBaby Doctor. Bailey has a slight murmur but she said she doesn’t think it will ever advance. It was a good visit for the heart concern. IMO She didn’t want to see Bailey back or die from Heart Failure because I choose a Food that was Grain Free. This is my first post so I’m sorry if my post was confusing. My intention wasn’t to tell anyone what Brand/formula of food for anyone to feed their Baby. Bailey needs to lose weight more quickly he also has a Collapsed Trachea. I ‘m terrified so I will take her advice! I don’t want him to have any future heart problems and he doesn’t need any extra pressure on his Trachea, she also referred me to an Oncologist because he has a mass in his chest above his heart! We have seen the oncologist and it doesn’t appear to be Cancerous but it can’t afford $1,500 on a CS! To have it ruled out but we did Blood work that showed No Cancer anywhere else in his body! I would get the CS, no problem but I have spent $2,300 so far and will be back to the Oncologist in 2-weeks for another ex ray, #3, that will make sure it hasn’t grown. I’ve been on Disability for the past 19yrs. So savings wasn’t an option for me! The one thing he has for sure is Gall Bladder Disease, And two small Gall stones. He’s on a Compounded Medication $60 a month. I don’t care about the money. I just wish I had more right now! It’s just us. So there it is. But, that’s not all. Bailey and I lost his momma Fergie(16). This past March. She passed away in her sleep. I thought she would live forever, never sick a day in her Life. This is why I took him to the Vet in the first place. A well physical! He probably gained the weight because he was mourning and I didn’t notice because I’m mourning too. I probably should have waited to post my first post. I was just trying to be helpful. Sorry | |

| Thank you for your suggestion. I wouldn’t have thought of Chewy.com, that would resolve that problem. I much appreciate your suggestion. Thanks again♥️😊 |

| My oldest has IBD and my vets office had an issue once getting her food in and they happily gave me a prescription and worked with chewy. I really love chewy.

I understand your cynicism but the PROBLEM started in a few places...with companies BSing people in order to compete with the larger food companies. Most didn't hire qualified people in the field of animal nutrition, isntead using marketing ploys like the wolf in your yorkie. Then, we had the self proclaimed expert on nutritionm ranking foods based on INGREDIENTS...and grains were SO bad .. a HUMAN DENTIST mind you but people believe the hype they read. I have ranted over and over on this forum about the importance of listening to qualified people about what to feed your pups.....vets don't make a ton of money selling food. That was another thing the companies cried about...but many of them simply don't do the research that is put into RX foods and there is NO WAY I will feed my pups foods from any company but one of the big three. I will home cook first...and I have done that .. but ONLY when the diet was formulated by a VET nutritionist. This new study is scary and I pray people now wake up and stop listening to people who have NO clue about animal nutrition. I have fed my pups grains forever and a day and have never had a problem. The ones who don't happen to have some weird genetic health issue are happy and healthy on GRAINS. Good info here....if you read the FAQs and library... www.petdiets.com Run by a vet nutritionist. AND You can email questions and she responds.
