| Popliteal Lymph Nodes Hi everyone, I was just wondering what/how your yorkie’s popliteal lymph nodes feel like. I haven’t noticed it before (but I also haven’t been as diligent before) but there are small bean sized on my baby’s popliteal area. Just wondering what was considered normal size for yorkies and what kind of shape/feeling are normal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I haven't felt my own dogs yet to compare, but will. However, if you feel they are enlarged *at all*, I would most definitely get to a vet asap. Hopefully, you'd find it's just a local enlargement due to some rather benign infectious agent. BUT, it could be other things as well. See article below. Also, it appears it could be related to cruciate ligament rupture if it's displaced (confirmed via xrays). Is there any limping present...or is there any "biting" or mouthing toward the leg areas? https://wagwalking.com/condition/lym...ymphadenopathy https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/...1999.tb03088.x

| My moms rescue yorkie had lymphoma and I was the one who first noticed it and they were HUGE. I feel like when it comes to lymph nodes it should be a trip to the vet ASAP. I thought my Penny’s were swollen but it turned out what I was feeling on her were her salivary glands.

| I talked to my vet and he is saying it’s not of concern. I just wanted to make sure what other yorkies’ popliteal nodes should feel like. She doesn’t have any other lymphnodes that I can feel. |
