| Well their prescription foods save lives but I’m not a fan of anything other by them. You have to be careful with “100% holistic” also most of those company’s don’t do feeding trials, have vet nutritionists on staff or good quality control.

| Just teeth with some plaque is not painful it’s when it causes issues under the gum line, bacteria or infection under the gum line, abscess or a Broken tooth. I think brushing at least every other day or once a day is great but you also must stay realistic. I have seen many people stay up on brushing but still end up with problems and needing annual dentals.

Any recommendations? Also non holistics have had their share of problems like that lawsuit against beneful for having non plant based glycol in their foods- you know the same garbage found in stuff like antifreeze? So I refuse to touch purina. Any alternatives to purina prescription foods? | |

| True. I just figured after a big meal. She only seems to have front teeth and some molars. How many teeth do dogs have in total? small breeds I mean. |

| Grains (or other complex carbohydrates) are a part of a balanced diet. If you didn't feed carbohydrates, you'd be feeding protein and fat only, which is not healthy.

| There is nothing wrong with carbs in moderation in fact I just went to a nutritionist who said carbs are necessary. I believe taste of the wild is owned by diamond foods who had a huge recall a few years ago. Not a big fan of diamond foods.

| I know with human teeth they say to wait an hour before brushing because food causes the enamel to soften.
