| I use Nexgard for Allie and have never had any problems. If you do use Nexgard make sure they have eaten before giving it.

| Yeah I have heard that it can upset an empty stomach so I give it and pretty much any meds after a meal.

| Thanks. I was wondering if anyone else experienced anything like this. I called the company to ask and they just said they really appreciate the call. I talked to a few different ppl who all took down information. They recommended not using topical, as did our vet. We are going with NexGard for sure. They gave us a sample to try and she did fine.

| If you find a tick on your dog do you take them to the vet for removal? I just watched a TV show where someone did that because of some type of paralysis tick. Should you do that so the tick a an be identified? I always just removed them myself.

| Most of the time they cant identify the tick or if it had any thing. You are fine taking it off at home. I like the lick lasso but I haven't had to use it since we moved but I have taken a million ticks off of Callie. If Lyme is a big issue in your area you may want to get the Lyme vaccine.

| I've always removed them myself. They're gross though -- I hate ticks, lol.
