| Bella in for emergency sanitary trim Evidently, the last time we took Bella in to the groomer, they forgot to do the sanitary trim . After Bella pottied this morning on her potty pad, she was trembling, had her tail held tightly down, and she looked miserable and ashamed. We praised her and gave her a treat because she pottied in the right place, but we still knew something was wrong. She wouldn't lift up her tail. We gently pried up her tail, and there was a dingleberry matted into her fur. I put on nylon gloves and tried to pull it lose, but it smeared and got further ground into her fur. We ended up having to give her a special bath (we just gave her a bath last weekend). She was much happier afterward. We're taking her in to the vet this afternoon for a sanitary trim. The next time we take her to her regular groomer, we're going to tell them what happened and ask for a discount on her next grooming to pay for the vet's sanitary trim. I was impressed with Bella being able to tell us that something was wrong--she's a smart girl. Lesson learned: Check your dog over thoroughly at the groomer to make sure they didn't miss something as obvious as a sanitary trim. |

| I have to trim/shave butts in between grooming. Mostly its just an issue with Callie. She will run inside and hide behind me if she gets a dingle berry. Her hair grows so darn fast its crazy. My newest girl has the same kinda hair so I imagine it might happen to her too.

| Yep we call it the potty patrol -- she will run in and hide behind me and I know what the problem is. She is so ashamed and I think uncomfortable when it happens!

| Joey's and when we had Sammy their hair grew/grows slower the Callie's. I get them groomed about every 6 weeks. Occasionally a groomer can miss something on accident.

| Cody acts like something is biting his butt and he's running trying to get away from it lol, it's really funny. I tell him come to momma, momma fixes for you, he comes, I clean him and the world is good again. These pups are so cute and silly.

| Rylee will run around, dragging her bottom and Monroe will just sit and look at me with sad, panicked eyes until I get it off. I do their sanitary trimming myself; but since they're full-coated the little danglers happen a couple times a week (staying on the leg hair normally). Normally, they carry it a few steps and it falls (making pick-up quite a search sometimes... especially in the dark haha). Oh, the joys of long haired babies! |

| dingleberries is the cutest term for something so gross! lol Scottie is super cute when he poops and it's stuck in his long hair. He'll stay in the poop-squatting position and look at me with his HELP-ME mom look until I pick it off. Casie on the other hand is like...OH GOODIE. It's treat time and will turn around quickly to gobble it up.

Some dogs hate when you blow on their bum, well mine seem to like it. Haha...I have to blow on their bum to see where the dingle berries are hidden in the long hair.
