My girl hasn't had any increase in thirst, appetite or peeing, I will definitely keep a very close eye on the look out for any strange actions she's making as I am considering testing her for Cushings as we haven't already. Thank you all for your response

Monroe has been on Apoquel for a few months now and it's a miracle for her itchiness. The only thing I suspect to be a side-effect is an increased appetite; which is a good thing for her because she normally has very little interest in eating. Now, she usually comes to the bowl and eats her food when I set it down! Rarely a need for hand-feeding anymore!

Thank you Monroe's mum for writing your experience with Apoquel,my regular vet scared me so much that I'm still thinking about this medicine. He said that long term(2,3 or more) years of using this medicine dogs can end up with tumour, organs failure or some other serious health issues.I moved to holistic vet,I want to try something more natural,my girl has IBD which goes hand in hand with allergies. She is only little and I think her immune sistem is not working properly from all those antibiotics and other medications.I asked this question purely to see if anyone is giving Apoquel long time and if there is any side affect.Apoquel will be my next option if I don't resolve this problem with holistic vet(I really don't have a lot of hope).Im happy for you and your little one that you find relief in this medicine.I wish you all the best

Apoquel My 9 year old lab has been on Apoquel for a few months now.....the relief from her itchy eyes was immediate.....I have her on a very careful diet and she is the picture of shiny black health.....I hope she will not need to be on it forever but in the meantime, I am grateful.....
