| Allergic Rhinitis Mia has allergic rhinitis which really severely impairs her ability to breathe during the allergy season. This is very rare in dogs. She is fine during the winter but as soon as the pollen starts she is miserable. The past 2 summers have been the absolute worst. Her breathing is so labored.. It just scares me to death. We have started working with an allergy specialist to find her some releif. She uses an inhaler twice a day and we started allergy shots last week. Has anyone every had any experience with these types of allergies with yorkies? |

| She has been on many different meds including: steroids, temeral p, benadryl, zyrtec, axium, antihistamine shots... and I sure there are more that I'm not remembering. Nothing has kept her from being sick and in the emergency vet at least once a week during the summer. Seems to start as soon as the pollen starts. It was a little earlier this year. And lasts until August. |
