| Pure Vita.... I am wondering if anyone feeds or knows anything about Pure Vita dog food? PureVita - Pure and Natural Holistic Pet Food I have been been feeding Moose and Mimi Natural Balance for the past 3 years and have been happy. But now.... not so, with this Diamond Pet Food problem! I want a grain free kibble. I would love anyone's opinion and or thoughts ~

| That looks like a pretty good food. Have you checked out Nature's Variety? I just started Sheldon on it 5 days ago. He is eating Limited Ingredient Grain Free Turkey and he seems to be doing ok. They also have canned, raw frozen and raw freeze dried. Nature's Variety |

| I really like Pure Vita and Nutrisource from everything I'd read about them. They have some nice formulas, and seem to be a very trustworthy company. I'd feed if I could find it closer. Also look into Precise, Fromm, Acana, Canine Caviar, or Lotus.

| The place I buy my dogs' food from really pushes Fromm, Precise, Pulsar (by Horizon), and just started selling HiTek Naturals. They sell other foods, but these are the ones they "prefer". They also sell the Nutrisource products and speak fairly highly of them.

| I went to choice pet supply and they carry pure vita and lotus. I got a sample of the lotus duck grain free. Do they have a choice pet supply near you? |

| I was considering pure vita and canine caviar. I had mine on natural balance grain free fish and sweet potato. She was still getting a small amount of blood in her stool and I was worried about the white potato in it might be causing this. Then the recalls happened and I also heard that natural balance may use ethoxyquin. I know canine caviar does not use this but not sure about pure vita. My little girl has ibd (vomiting and bloody stools) so I was also worried about the fat and protein levels in these types of foods. Pure vita was around 24 percent protein (which i thought was pretty good) but fat was 16 percent (which i wasnt sure about). Canine caviar was around 31 percent protein and 16 percent fat. I was also considering california naturals grain free there fat was around 11 percent. Dogmaonline.com (i think thats the correct link is sending me free samples of canine caviar if you want to get samples before buying a bag. |
