I too have tried i feel like every brand there is. I know i havent... But i have tried a ton!!!! Mine has never had regular diarhea or vomiting and no other reason to be terrible concerned. . Just itchy.. And very very picky. Will go a whole day or two without eating. He too has went thru blood work and xrays.. Etc. recently we have found two things that he loves!!!! Earthborn holistics great plains( bison) dry kibble. And natural balance duck and potato canned or their food rolls. He has eaten breakfast 5 days in a row now! That is unheard of for him. Usually he wony eat breakfast when the other dogs do. Around 10 or 11 i may or may not be able to get him to eat some home cooked food. Just wanted to share or experience i guess. Eddie is 9 years old and we have been struggling with foods for the best part of 5-6 years. Have just kept trying something new. Maybe he isnt being picky. Maybe something in the foods doesnt agree with his belly? Eddie would act hungry like you said, when another dog came around. But he usually still wouldnt end up eating. He would just gaurd his food. And if i offered something really enticing like boiled chicken he would sometimes eat it up. But we went thru alot of other food rolls and canned that he would sniff and walk away from. Eddies new earthborn holistic food is also low in carbs compared to other brands. We have been sooo happy to find something that he likes and seems to agree with his belly. I also give a raw egg yolk. They are from our own organic free range chickens. So im comfortable doing that. He really likes egg yolks. I hope you can find something that works for your guy. Its so stressful when they dont eat good. I have been lucky our other dogs have no trouble in this area and will eat whatever i give them. | |

| You know what else you can try? The Honest Kitchen has food toppers called 'Proper Toppers'. I was able to get a sample bag from my local pet food store where I buy their raw food. They loved it! Proper Toppers S&C has something similar, they call it 'Meal Mixers': https://www.stellaandchewys.com/products/dog-dinners/

| So today i receive the small bag i order 5.5oz from stella and cheey duck duck formula. I gave him one patty with a lil bit of water and he gobbled it up . Will see how he does tomorrow. Can you guys suggest any other good flavors i should try on this brand? Im considering buying the frozen raw for dinner, but im having a hard time finding a store that sells the small bag to give it try. Btw the pattys on the bigger bags are they the same size as the patties on the small one? I was looking at the feeding guide and it said i only have to give him 2 per day, i dont know but to me that patty looked so small lol

| I use to homecook for mia and she got sick once . My vet told me not homecook for dogs , thats the only reason i never tried it again. And i did use dog recipes , i never had an issue with her eating then.

| That's so strange bc home cooking is the best food you can give them, I think....fresh whole foods & you know exactly what's going into the food. Of course, maybe your vet was saying not long term bc you need to add the vitamins & minerals & make sure it's balanced?

When sammy had kidney disease my vet did not want me to homecook at all... He told me NOT to give Sammy the calcium supplement I researched and started using and then sold me a supplement that he recomended that the first ingredient was the same calcium carbonation I was giving. ![]() I really don't think he know much about dog nutrition at all.

| I come bearing bad news , max is allergic to an ingredient on Stella's duck duck goose. He began licking his paws no stop last night and he began scratching today . This might now work for my baby just when I was happy
