| Ibs ibd My Yorkie Wilma has IBS IBD. I have read on the internet that Fecal Transplant works well in these cases. I asked my Vet about this and she said that it was not yet available in the UK. I wonder if anyone has had experience with this procedure for their IBS IBD Yorkie and most importantly did if work for their Yorkie. |

| yorkie health and diet Hi, thank you for your welcome,. IBS IBD is the same as in humans. It is irritable bowl disease/irritable syndrome. Sickness, bloody diarrhea,does/nt want to eat, painful stomach cramps. Has to have medication when attacks happen. The only thing that can pass her lips without a reaction is Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal. I have read on the internet that fecal transfer has worked for both humans and dogs in America and in Australia but I am in the UK and my Vet tells me it is not done in the UK which is very frustrating for me. I am just asking if anyone has any info or experience of the procedure. My little Yorkie is a 2yr old ex puppy farm breeding bitch although never had any puppies as I think she was probably too ill to often to breed from and skin draped over bone when I took her on. I just want to do and get the very best for her and give her as normal life as possible. She is such a sweetheart and I really want to give her the best I possibly can. Any help on the subject would be very much appreciated. |

| Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) Sometimes called “spastic colon,” IBS is a functional disorder of the colon that does not involve inflammation. IBS results in chronic painful spasms in the colon that produce cramping, bloating, diarrhea and constipation—symptoms similar to IBD.
