| Teething My Jackson is 6 mo. Old and has lost some teeth and swallows his kibble whole, so I have been feeding him soft food for about a week now. He Eats very good now. I cook turkey burger and mix it with sweet potatoe , brown rice and Merrik canned food. Is this a mistake? He loves it, but will he ever eat kibble again? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Ooooo gosh, I'd be *very* very careful bc of the age. Adult dogs can go for extended periods without bad results from poor nutrition (just like humans), however, with pups you have to truly be careful as they're still developing and growing. You want a properly balanced diet for younger ones, for sure. So, I'd either get a custom home cooking recipe from Balanceit.com (or similar) -or- I'd feed the Merrick as the main dish, and use the human food components as no more than 15% of the meal's total.
