| Puppy doesn't eat much Hi! I've got a 5 month old puppy, she weights around 1,2 kg and is tiny. The vet says she alright, but I worry because she eats SO LITTLE. She's supposed to eat 2 or 3 times a day, but she barely eats once a day and i have to make her eat out of my hand. Is it normal? Are all Yorkies this picky? She eats Eukanua puppy for small breeds. What should I do? I've changed food brands 3 times now, she seemed to like this one, but I guess she got fed up with it. Heeeelp (Sorry for the lousy English!) |

| My Barney was a very picky eater when he was young. Fortunately he outgrew this stage. You could try sprinkling parmesan cheese on the food. Barney seems to eat better after he has been outside running around and playing. It seems to spur his appetite. Welcome to YT!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | If you look around on the site, you'll see that there are many who complain of finicky eaters. Especially, the really small pups. I have tried a lot of things, including the Parmesean cheese which does work for a while. Now I use Trippet wet food to mix in with her regular food. You can get it on Amazon. I add a couple of teaspoons to her regular food and mix it well. The tripe is very stinky and my pup loves it. It's just an idea, but it works for my finicky little girl. |

| I had to feed Max mostly by hand his first year. He wanted to perform tricks for each piece of kibble. I sped things up by also using a Kong toy that I put a bunch of kibble in at one time. He started eating on his own when we brought home his brother, who wanted to get into his food. Now they are both chow hounds.

| Thanks to all of you! I really worry a lot for Suri, specially since I'm used to medium breeds and she just seems too tiny for me. I'll try what you guys suggested! Thanks again! |
