| Ibd So I have a question. Callie has IBD. Is there like a list of foods and food stuff that aggravate it and a list of foods that don't? Like are fruits and veggies bad and so on?

| My mom has IBS (not sure how similar it is when it's a dog) but I know she has to avoid fatty/greasy foods....things like ranch dressing and even sometimes milk or cheese sets her tummy off. What kind of foods does she eat usually? Do u do kibble or home cooked ? Poor thing....I would think that something like i/d would be good for her. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | From a quick search, I don't see any common food items listed anywhere on the various vet sites. I do see that sometimes high fiber can help the issue.

| Taylor my Rosie has IBS. We have to use prescription food and I have a home cooked diet from Dr Remillard. ANYTHING different causes her to get sick. The only treats I use is Zukes Chicken minis. Did your vet recommend anything for you to feed her?

| My Lola has IBS, pancreatitis and HGE. I know it's not IBD, but it's still gastro related. She has been on low fat/protein food for years and was put on prescription i/d in June because she was not doing well. I think potatoes were upsetting her tummy, so we avoid those starchy foods. We recently switched to prescription z/d due to her allergies. She is doing wonderful so far! Have you discussed prescription food with your vet? The i/d is made for gastrointestinal issues, so it should help your baby. I don't think there is any lists of dos or don'ts with IBD or IBS. You just have to find the right thing that works for your pup. Your vet should be able to help you. Other than Hills Prescription Diet, Royal Canin and Purina both make special prescription food for gastrointestinal issues.

| Not a vet, but human docs put IBD folks on bland diets.

| Callie is on prescription food but I need some kind of treat or something because she will not do her treat puzzles or training for her dog food. She looks at me like I'm an idiot. Since it is getting pretty darn cold we can't really play outside so she is getting a bit board. I know for sure dairy is an issue for her like cheese, milk and yogurt.

| Try frozen or canned green beans for treats. Lola loves those and will do anything for them! Be sure that the canned ones are low sodium or no salt added. She also loves Sam's Yams sweet potato treats and the Gerber baby yogurt melts & puffs.

| My girls love the Zukes. And Rosie tolerates them well. I think they would be a good treat to try.
