My Lola has IBS, pancreatitis and HGE. I know it's not IBD, but it's still gastro related. She has been on low fat/protein food for years and was put on prescription i/d in June because she was not doing well. I think potatoes were upsetting her tummy, so we avoid those starchy foods. We recently switched to prescription z/d due to her allergies. She is doing wonderful so far! Have you discussed prescription food with your vet? The i/d is made for gastrointestinal issues, so it should help your baby. I don't think there is any lists of dos or don'ts with IBD or IBS. You just have to find the right thing that works for your pup. Your vet should be able to help you. Other than Hills Prescription Diet, Royal Canin and Purina both make special prescription food for gastrointestinal issues. |
