YT 2000 Club Member | pancreatitis Help! My Spud is suffering from pancreatitis. I have spent over $1,000 and the vet has him eating quinoa, tilapia, tuna in water, can have sweet potato, . Well he really does not like this stuff. He is being picky. He is on cerenia for nausea and prednisolone. He has lost quite a bit of weight, down to 6.9lbs. Anyone have any advice for me to help Spud? I would so appreciate it. |

| A lot of us feed rx Royal Canine Gastro Low Fat. Either canned or kibble. My Zoey eats both - not together but at different times because she gets tired eating the same thing but after three episodes it's RC only.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I am waiting for the vet to call about Spud's blood panel. He is not eating his fish. I cooked pinto beans, no eating that, got tuna, sweet potato, no he will eat a small bite of apple, no on the quinoa. I wonder if he is heading to dog heaven. He is only 6 lbs and 10yrs old. Please say a prayer for me as I cry easy and am so upset inside over this. I know the Lord owns all our babies and when He calls we have to let go. It is so hard to get to that point. Surrender and hand them over to HIm. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I so appreciate all your advice on what to do with pancreatitis and the diet. The food is not tasty yet he is not feeling well. I am praying that my little bud will be with us for a while longer-it is up to the Lord Who knows the number of our days and our precious Yorkie days too. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I am home from the vet. She gave me the z hills diet and Spud ate it. She also said possible kidney failure. We hydrated him and will see how he does. I am praying that this diet will help Spud get better and his kidneys will function well again. Please pray for him. He is the sweetest and so good with everyone. |

| My Gizmo has also had pancreatitis a few times and has been on Hill I/D low fat since last year. He tends to get bored with it sometimes so I have switched from time to time to RC gastro. Recently he wasn't feeling well (vomiting and diarrhea) and wasn't really eating so his doctor said to add in Hills Z/D. He also said I could give him puree carrots and peas (baby food) and Gizmo loved it! He's back to eating just the I/D but I still have the Z/D that I can add in if I have to. Also, since last year when he went on the I/D he's had belly gurgles. I know they say that I/D slows the intestinal tract. The doctor wants to do a biopsy to make sure it isn't IBS. He takes simethicone twice a day but his belly still gurgles. I'd rather try a different food before doing a biopsy. Are there any suggestions? He also has some liver issues but that has been under control, thank God! |

YT 2000 Club Member | food My Spud had a really bad attack of pancreatitis. Now he is eating zd hills diet and is doing well. He likes it and eats it all up. I go back to the vet for more blood checks and the vet said he can stay on this food if he is doing well. |
