| Welcome to YT, I can't answer ALL your questions, but others will. Question # 2-My yorkie doesnt like to come or listen when she's out side but when shes inside she does well with her stay and come command. ....Outside are many distractions, spend more time outdoors with her training. You need her to be focused on YOU when you are training outdoors.I suggest (providing she has had ALL her shots) take her on walks, satisfy her curiosity for out doors, she is a new baby in a big world of smells outside her home. Inside home training is easier, no distractions. Outdoors is harder to keep their attention, you must train indoors to be focused on YOU, once you have mastered indoors her focusing on you, then take it outdoors where there are fewer distractions, when that is mastered then go to an area where there are more distractions. We have several members that may offer up their excellent training tips. Question # 4-My yorkie gets cars sick occasionall, try a booster seat where she can see out of the windows, open window where she can get fresh air...... My 3 y/o adopted boy got car sick all the time when I first got him. I bought a Tagalong Pet Booster Seat at Pet Supply, it is elevated OFF the passenger seat. In the 6 months he has been using it he has never gotten sick. I felt in Cody's car sick case a booster seat that did not set on the passenger seat was best for him. Other members will be along with seats that they use and eliminated car sickness. Question # 3- How many times should I bathe my yorkie. I'll leave that up to other members, because I started bathing Cody once a week with a good quality oatmeal shampoo that is to be safe to use several times a week, it was left on for 10 minutes as per the label instructions 6 weeks later he ended up having very dry skin from over bathing, was biting himself to the point where he drew blood. I now have to use a shampoo which can only be gotten at my vet. This shampoo can be used several times a week. Cody will not get a bath once a week anymore, I will stretch it to 2 or 3 times a month. It is now winter, he doesn't spend a lot of time digging in the yard, so bathing once a week is not necessary and he needs time for his skin to mend. Many members bathe once a week or every other week in the summer months, less in the winter. I am sure they will be along to give their advise and experience. she shake really bad when she gets around people. She may just need more socializing with strangers, again, providing she has had ALL her shots, try taking her to places where there are ppl. Maybe pet shoppes like Pet Smart, PetCo, Pet Supplies, Home Depot & Lowes allows dogs. Take her several times a week. Hope this helps, again, other will be along with suggestions.

| My two reached there basic size by 10-12 months, put on their final weight by 18 mo.(another 1/2 lb or so) I do not trust my girls outside unless they are on a harness/ leash- too easily distracted. They are free to run in their fenced side yard. I bathe once a week, might stretch to 10 days in our cooler winter. Rinsing well is more important to us then shampooing (we use Minksheen). Abby got terribly carsick, I could not take her to the vet without help. She grew out of it but is still not much of a traveler. Shaking- socialize every day! Ziva still shivers when she sees a cat! |

1. Likely won't get tooooo much bigger, but may have a little growth spurt later...around 9-10mths. Will probably still "fill out" a bit. 2. You should do some of your training while outside so that she gets used to listening in all kinds of different environments. 3. Everyone does it differently...some bathe 1x per week, some more like every 3 weeks. I do every 2-3 weeks, depending on their coats. 4. You could try some ginger and/or I'd also talk to the vet about this so that you can get a medication that will help her for a while; then after a while, it's likely that she'll have grown used the car and won't need it long term. As far as the shaking...just keep socializing her and this should improve w/ time, hopefully.

| Some years ago, my neighbor had a beagle that constantly got car sick. He used ginger ROOT, that eliminated the car sickness.I do not now how soon to give ginger root to dog before taking car ride . With Codys car sickness I went to my vet, She gave me pills to be given 1/2 hour before he goes in the car. I am against pills that are not necessarily needed for health issues. I never used the pills, instead I tried the booster seat, it's perfect, no more vomiting, and best, did not have to give medication, just to go in the car. Cody is 3 y/o not a baby puppy that can / may grow out of it, also the stress that he went through, panting, muzzle soaking wet, shakes, the only time he went in the car was to the vet, so his stress level elevated because he knew where he was going. Booster seat was a life saver, he LOVES the car ride now, and I am one happy camper that he can now come with me when ever possible.
