Some years ago, my neighbor had a beagle that constantly got car sick. He used ginger ROOT, that eliminated the car sickness.I do not now how soon to give ginger root to dog before taking car ride . With Codys car sickness I went to my vet, She gave me pills to be given 1/2 hour before he goes in the car. I am against pills that are not necessarily needed for health issues. I never used the pills, instead I tried the booster seat, it's perfect, no more vomiting, and best, did not have to give medication, just to go in the car. Cody is 3 y/o not a baby puppy that can / may grow out of it, also the stress that he went through, panting, muzzle soaking wet, shakes, the only time he went in the car was to the vet, so his stress level elevated because he knew where he was going. Booster seat was a life saver, he LOVES the car ride now, and I am one happy camper that he can now come with me when ever possible.
