| Gosh, that's a hard one. I would probably want to get it done fairly quickly ... if her liver enzymes are not horribly elevated it should not be a huge issue; but do have a discussion with your vet to see what he thinks. You definitely don't want to leave it in there if it is bothersome to her unless you just have to.

| He recommended getting it done within the next month or two. Two months will be in about 30 days. I will watch her to make sure she is not having trouble eating. I notice she seems to paw at her face in the mornings but don't know if it is bc of eye gunk (she wakes up with small little hard gunk in her eyes), or her ears itching, or the tooth bothering her. She has mild allergies. Thanks so much for all of your help!

| You may never need to do it. My Daisy was born with bilateral Grade IV patellar luxations. At age two she went lame and had surgery on one leg. The other leg never required surgery. About a year ago, she was really bothered and I took her to a surgeon and he ordered crate rest. She has some arthritis shoen on her xray but at 14 years old with a severe grade IV she still runs around like without a problem. Up and down stairs, long walks, jumps....no problem. No pain, and when and if she's bothered, she takes a tramadol.
