This has been around a while. A friend of mine did these shots with her larger breed dog for severe hip dysplasia and found it to be successful but I've heard others that say it really is not that effective so it may be one of those things where it's a case-by-case basis. I personally don't think I would do it until I tried, as I said earlier, natural anti inflammatories like fish oil because at a therapeutic dose I have had very good results with my own animals.

Thanks. It's good to know. I am going to check with the vet and find out how much I can give her... or if he has ideas other than a shot. I just think I would rather save the shots as a last resort.
