| ![]() Just to comment a little (although I'm not a huge fan of milkbones)... Those little flying bugs/grubs? Are in well... pretty much anything in grain! They only difference is that usually things don't stick around long enough for the life-cycle to finish. It doesn't matter how good that company is - it just happens. Sealing doesn't help.. they're there before processing. Sounds like those milkbones have been hanging around to long - on a shelf or warehouse somewhere! Dried poultry digest is material made when animal tissue is cleaned from chemicals or enzymes. It is important to realize it does not include things like hair, feathers, hooves/claws etc. Cream of the crop? No... but it IS milkbones! Just like with food, generally you have to pay more to get the better product. Chicken poo it is not though. You do tend to get what you pay for and to be honest - I don't think any of us have to look at the ingredients on the box to realize its mostly filler and "garbage" grains. Thats why their marketed and used as treats. They are just suposed to be tasty - like potato chips. If you want a milkbone alternative there are a ton of homemade recipies out there, and they aren't hard to make either (unless you want to get fancy with cutters ![]() |

| ![]() Most (not all) treats you find in grocery stores will be garbage. Read the label. Also any edibles Made in China is up for questioning. You have to be very careful. I only go into the pet section at grocery stores for beds, toys, and clothes ![]() I think a few things made from Newman's Own is semi-OK and that brand is sold at grocery stores. Like I said, read the label. Snick & Viv
