| I was told you should free feed Yorkies. Mine only eats when she is hungry, like only in the evening. But if you always leave food out for them they should not have a weight problem. That is my experience at least. Their food should be very low fat or they can get pancratitis! |

| YT Addict | Mine is 3.2 lbs 15 weeks between 1/4 to 1/3 a day. Some days he eats less. He's in buffalo blue also freedom. He has eaten up to 1/2 c day when going through growth spurt. My 14 lb senior ears 1/2 cup day he weighs 13 lbs. |

| Our Snickers weighs 5.5 lib. He's an active little guy and he gets 3 small meals a day as his small stomach cannot handle too much food once or twice a day. We feed him 3 tbs of Hills ID canned and we steam yams and give him 1-2 tbs along with the Hills. He gets 1/3 of a Blue Buffalo Salmon and Sweet Potato cookie for a treat at lunch. He loves it and has been much healthier because of it for over a year. Make sure your dog has access to clean water at all times. Yorkies can dehydrate quickly. |
