| Treats?! Ever since my little Mojo had this stomache problem...I have been concerned with what food and snacks to give him. And being the wondeful mommy that I am , I am trying to feed what is the best for him! If you all wouldn't mind to post what treats and food (even human) that you give your little ones.....that would be great! I know that all of our babies are different and what works for one, might not be good for another, but I just wanted a list that I could go through and see what would be best. My vet told me that with Mojo, dairy based products (yogurt, milk, cottage cheese) would more than likely upset his stomache since he is not use to them, so for him, those would be more "harm" than good. And Mojo is on Royal Canine Yorkshire Formula food......now in a recent post, someone said that the food brand (as long as it is a good quality) shouldn't matter....as long as your little one eats it well and has no complications from it. I am looking for extra treats, training treats, etc....so if you have ever tried anything and your little one liked it and you had no health problems after feeding it....please let me know... Also, should we always follow the advice of the vets? I have read so many post regarding their vets telling them things that were either not correct or caused more damage...... Course, I am just talking about food wise here....like my vet still says "Greenies" are okay....BUT we do not give them anymore and she said that she wouldn't give them Pepto either.....It is just confusing anymore on what to do....I mean, you don't know what to do or give or who to listen to! Thanks in advance!

| I give carrots, cherios and pupcorn. Sometimes when we are trying to get them to do tricks we give a small piece of luchmeat. I dont give greenies anymore but there are people who do. I give grounded rawhide sticks.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic also has lots of stomach problems, as she can't have anything that has chicken or lots of corn in it, so we have to really be careful what we feed her and give her as treats....what we have found is you never know what will and will not work!! Some of the ones we have found that work for her is Bil Jack Liver Treats, Bill Jack Peanut Butter Treasts, Yougurt Drops, anything will Lamb and Rice as indegrients (sp?), and Cheerios. Also several brands of natural treats have worked for her. When we try new treats or even food we always give her just a small piece and watch her reaction before giving her anymore. I am sure you will be able to find something that works for little one, it is just a game of trial and error!!

| Thanks....I was also wondering about baby food....not the mush, but the "graduate" stuff...like carrots, apples, meat sticks, etc.... I would think those would be a healthy treat, but is it best to give fresh carrots, apples, etc.

| I am now the proud owner of about $40.00 worth of worthless treats. Someone said try Cheerios and that is what mine will do ANYTHING for. Beats me.... Just plain ole cheerios. So much for the "take out", the Lean Chicken, the People crackers, the pupperonies, the dried liver, the "cookies".... Oh - and for special, I love you, the icecream for dogs - freeze dried. WOW they love that - but it has sugar, so it's just for special.

| Tigger likes freeze dried liver treats, bil-jac Liver treats and bil-jacs cool treats(frozen liver treats made with yogurt), pup corn (peanut butter flavored). If your baby has a sensitive stomach you may want to try Nutro Lamb and rice sticks. and you'll also want to stear clear of rawhides, natural bones, and pig ears. Best of luck.

| Samson likes green peppers. His favorite treat are these chicken plank/strip things. They are sort of like jerky/dehydrated I guess but they look just like a strip of chicken and the only ingredients are chicken and seasoning/flavoring. |

| We have tummy issues. Cheese Charlee Bears and Cloud Star's Itty Bitty Biscuits (chicken) work around here. Both are corn free and have decent ingredients. The Itty Bitty Biscuits can be broken in 2-3 smaller pieces, which is even better!

| TJ has tummy issues too. He is on Natural Balance Duck and Potato dry and wet food. They also make a 'biscuit' that he loves. He does well with raw, fresh baby spinach and he FAVORITE is raw, freash string beans (i cut them up for him into tiny pieces). He also likes the Zukes Mini Naturals Savory Salmon training treats. I try to stay very healthy will him. He can not have anything with Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Corn or Sugar. So far with his Meds and the controlled diet, he is doing rather well! |

| Lexi loves cheerios, boiled chicken, carrots, apple sauce, and anything with lamb and rice in it. I have also bought her these peanutbutter bones which she loves you can get them at pigletspantry.com they do alot of health food treats that are pretty cheap. Lexi also likes freshies which is a dried out chicken treat.

| Hi there. I took a trip to a really good holistic pet store in my city recently and they pretty much recommend anything that is 100% natural. I give my dog all kinds of veggies. Carrots, corn, green beans, broccoli, squash and peas. I also give bully sticks, dried chicken, dried lamb lung (highly recommended by the holistic pet store owner) and dried liver treats. Merrick has a great selection of all natural dog treats (basically different animal parts). I steer clear of rawhide and greenies mostly just because all the reports I have read have made me nervous. They say if your dog is having stomach problems or vomiting to cook white rice and add to the dogs wet food. Haven't had to try this yet but it's good to know. Cheers |
