| When I started gaining weight, Magnus gained. Now that I'm losing weight, Magnus's is losing weight too. Go figure... It's good though. When you and your pup starts waddling alike, you KNOW it's time for a diet. LOL |

| Do you have any indoor dog swimming faciltiies near you? I would think in CA, there would be... We have this enar us: Canine Fitness Center - Have you swum your dog today? I've heard amazing things, and it's a fast and easy way to get weight off a dog w/ knee problems! Jackson looks his best in the summer when he does all of his swimming.

| Buster had to loose weight because of his LP as well. I ended up getting a bay scale so that I could weigh him and adjust his food and especially treats. I got this scale and put a pad in it and Buster jumps in to be weighed and gets a treat for being a good boy and staying still. | Ok so I just picked up his food. The vet up him on RC satiety support. I thought it was more expensive... But after seeing the size of the bag, I think I am going to be saving money. A humungous bag for $53. Way bigger than the $40 bag I usually buy. I noticed the label says joint support too.. So its a double win. ![]() I've been taking him on longer walks the past two days but not over doing it... I am going to make sure not to skip days of walking and at least get some in everyday. It isn't like before where we had a big back yard for him to run around and play in. We only have a patio now, so that may be where the difference is and why he's put on weight recently. | YorkieTalk Newbie! | Can you tell me the food the vet recommended. My Macy is a little over weight. She has problems with her back knees to at one time. But seems to be doing good now. I honestly think my 2 yr old might have hurt her some way. But she does need to lose before she has a lot of knee problems later. I need help on what a good food is to help her drop. I'm on science diet light for small breeds. And I haven't seen no change in her at all. I only feed her 2 times a day 1/4 cup. Thanks |
