| I Need Yorkie Poo Puppy Advice We bought a 6 week old Yorkie Poo last night. She is so precious. She doesn't understand the whole eating and drinking thing like we were told she did. From what I have read online she shoould have stayed with her mother until 10-12 weeks of age. The vet recommended wet puppy food. I was going to buy her a puppy nursing bottle today and the wet food. When I was a teenager we saved a 1 ounce sized kitten and the vet had us bottle feed her goats milk and she did great on it. I am looking for feedback and suggestions PLEASE |

| Hi, Milo is a Yorkie Poo also. Wow 6 weeks that's really young, I would try my best to find a good quality food as well as have some nutrical on hand. I would go to the vet asap just to get some advise and make sure all is OK you are in for a treat. Yorkie Pops are full of personality. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Try mixing the canned puppy food with warm goats milk. Make it so it can lap it up, until it is able to chew. Feed often as it's tummy is very small and isn't able to ear much at one time. I would even feed every 2-4 hours during the night. You are in for a long few weeks!

| My izzy is a yorkipoo as well. And wasn't really eating food when we got her as we were told also. I crushed her puppy food up small and mixed half with hard and half wet merricks dog food and she ate it right up. She is 8 weeks. Plus gave her nutrical call twice daily to be on the safe side. Do you have any pictures? |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | At 6 weeks of age she should be able to eat and drink on her own. All pups go through a transition stage after leaving their litter mates but true this pup should have staye with the breeder longer. It is their job to see to it that this pup is eating, drinking and is totally independent of its mother before placing it with its new family. Soak some dry kibble in one parts goats milk or canned evaporated milk to two parts water for a few hours before feeding her. There is no reason why this pup should not be drinking on it own so in order to get her to drink just rub some of the water on her lips and the inside of its mouth to encourage her to drink she'll catch on. If this is something that was not introduces I can only imagine what else this breeder has not done. I would get her started on a de-worming medication asap and hopefully she is on the road to getting her shots taken care of.
