| 20 yr old now gone I am saddened to advise our Yorkie Ewok had to sent on his way yesterday. He was 20 yrs 3 months old. He was sight impaired (had cataract surgery 3 yrs ago but cataract came back), mostly deaf, only a few teeth left, some arthritis, and senile. But, even so, happy and active. Was on Selegiline hydrochloride for 3 years (same medication people take for the senility. What a god send. Bought us an extra 2-3 years with him. Why a long life - he never drank tap water. I am very sensitive to chlorine and we lived rural on filtered tank water. When city dwelling then we had a system to filter the water. Did it make a difference? I don't know. Also, he ate what I ate for the most part. Some tinned food (My Dog brand) but mostly my chicken and occasionally steak, lamb chops, or pork chops. Also, no immunisations in the final 5 years. I didn't want those chemicals in him. I was also careful when mopping the floors to not let him get those chemicals on his paws that he might ingest or absorb. Yesterday morning he woke up and couldn't walk. Back legs couldn't support him. He was very distressed forcing our decision that it was time. Rest in peace little one.

| I am so sorry for your loss! How blessed you were to share Ewok's love for such a longtime. May you soon be able to look back at your times together with fond memories. (((hugs)))

| I am so very sorry for your loss. My last girl was 17 yo, blind, 95% deaf, early stage of dementia, incontinent, slept most of the time but when she was awake she liked to play. I had to find new ways to play since she couldn't see and hear well and she did just great. It's 5 1/2 years she is gone, I miss her every day...(((hugs))))

| Thank you for your condolences. Tis a very sad time when one of us loses our companion - and Yorkies are very good companions - bright, witty, full of energy, playful. They leave quite a big empty when they move on.
