| allergy bumps Well normally Callie's bad allergy seasons are spring and summer so I thought we got by without a skin infection this year by using the Omega 3 and making sure every night I wipe her paws so she doesn't drag and outside in her bed. Well apparently she now has fall allergies.......... She has about 8 little bumps on her back like she has normally gotten when she had allergy problems and lead to a skin infection although she is not scratching them like they itch which is normally what happens and they are not huge and ugly red so I am still praying they just go away. I have been super diligent with giving her, her Omega 3 and making sure she gets a bath every week and she has been wearing shirts because it's been a bit chilly. Is it possible it will go away on it its own? She is not itchy and they do not seem to be bothering her. I figured I would at least maybe wait until Monday when Sammy needs to go in for his yearly stuff because my parents are going out of town Friday morning so Sammy will be staying with us until Sunday night. Should I be concerned that these look like the ones she has had before but she is not scratching them? Could that mean it is something else?

| So Callie is having so many allergies but they seem to be lingering this year due to the rain and warm weather. Maybe a good idea to mention to the vet when you take Sammy. If they are not troubling Callie and they are not red and angry looking, I wouldn't think it's necessary for a vet visit just yet. Maybe take a picture of it so you can show it to the vet on Monday to see if he thinks you should take her in?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's hard to say if it'll go away. What you can do to help it though is to put some antibiotic cream on it, bc that may help. My Wylie is prone to skin inf too (pyoderma/staph) -- so my Vet gave my some prescription ointment for when he just has a couple spots show up, I can use it and it will go away...you should ask for this from your vet if Callie is prone, it's called Mupirocin (sp?).

| Thanks guys I will probably just go ahead and take her in when Sammy goes because Sammy seems to do better when Callie goes with him any way (he hates the vets office and Callie is very comfortable and likes it) I'm checking them at last twice a day and she really doesn't seemed bothered at all by them.
