| ![]() We rescued an adult yorkie 2 months ago. He had a skin infection which was treated by injection, and now we are giving him weekly baths with medicated shampoo per our vets instructions. He is still so itchy - spends so much time scratching himself. I have heard that dry skin is common with this breed. Will go back to the vet . . . we feed him Royal Canin for Yorkies. |

| ![]() I'll try that also. We just rescued and adult male, 8-9 yrs old 2 mths ago. He just started scratching a week ago. I can't find any bugs on him. So I also bought special shampoo to try and cure dry skin. Still scratching. I didn't think about his food. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Sounds to me like it could very well be allergies.
