| ![]() Last night kiki made a short visit to the shop/man cave. Where she became obsessed with eating dried grass off the floor. She has a sensitive stomach so I wasn't surprised when she started to act like she was going to throw up. All she did was cough and hack and spit up white stringy foam. Waiting for her to settle before we left she threw up the most awful thing u ever did see. ( white huge pile of who knows) I don't see how 7.2 lb dog could throw up as much as she did. We left immediately got home to have the hiccups off and on for over an hour. Finally about midnight I got her settled in and we went to bed. This morning she seems better but I think her throat is unease. Maybe irritated? It is like she is trying to wet it -sounds like she could be vomiting water but she isn't. What can I do to.help her? I'm supposed to leave in an hour for a day trip but I hate to leave my baby not feeling 100% - only tthe hubby and yorkie talk world unstands my upset about this!

| ![]() sounds like a vet visit is needed. Especially to make sure she didn't aspirate any vomit or dehydrate |

| ![]() Don't go on your day trip and take her to the vet. She could get dehydrated easily if she loses much more fluid & could have a throat infection, pneumonia or any number of things. Vet her.

| ![]() Update - still keeping an eye on Kiki. I left her with a friend while I had to leave (I couldn't cancel even though I wanted to) she is eating and drinking! She ate her breakfast before I had to leave this morning & she is acting normal. She seems to still be making a odd noise in her throat. And stretching her neck. It is almost as if as long as she is busy it doesn't bother her. If she hasn't improved by morning we will be going to the vet.

Gently...very sincerely....what are you waiting for? Go to the vet. Its one thing when we aren't feeling well...we know when we need to go to the DR. You don't know what is wrong with her, she is not herself, she is sick. While your watching and waiting something very bad can be going on inside, please just get her checked out. Keep us posted, I am concerned for her.

| ![]() Of course you can cancel anything if you just don't show up and take your sick dog to the vet. That's responsible pet ownership and the very act of buying and keeping a pet requires that we sacrifice many things for them, even professional work duties at times. I don't mean that to sound harsh - just a fact that doglovers deal with often - and the dog always comes first. Waiting to take a sick dog into the vet can be terrible for the dog as it is likely uncomfortable and suffering and cannot tell you. Can't say a thing except in how in acts. You are that little one's only voice and you must step up and help her before she gets bad off. To tell you the truth, you have no idea what is going on with her or what infection or issue is happening inside her little body so, indeed, why are you waiting on vetting her to find out? Stretching her neck and the odd throat noise is indicative of soreness or something inside, not to mention the beginning with all of the vomiting, and she could be getting more ill by the hour. When my dog had pneumonia, he started hacking for a couple of hours and we were at the vet in about two hours one minute from the beginning of the hacking. Dx: Pneumonia. Just get her in for the vet to check her over and get her treatment started, okay? You'll both feel better!

| ![]() We are still keeping an eye on her and have talked to her vet. But she is 100% today! Not an abnormal peep out of her.
