| Jasper has bad flea allergies too and the vet has him on Zyrtec. Half a pill in the morning and half at night. Plus I give him Frontline every month. He still chews like crazy so the other thing I do that really seems to help is I put him in his pjs! They cover almost everything so he can't get to his hot spots to chew.

| I ended up putting diapers and t shirts on my boys when they were itching bad, I thought from regular allergies. Come to find out, they had fleas. Finally, I think we are winning the battle after an array of meds~sentinal, frontline, natural flea shampoo and spray...and FINALLY the SO let me treat the house with Knockout and I haven't seen the boys itching nearly as badly. I also treated our kitty with capstar and natural flea spray, on top of her monthly flea meds. I gave the boys benadryl and sprayed hydrocortizone spray on their itchy spots and it did seem to help as well, but I swear....they get one flea and you'd think they've got a million. It took me 2 weeks of looking JUST to finally find one flea on them. I used Revolution all this year until about 2 months ago and didn't have a flea problem. As soon as I switched to the Sentinal, I had a problem. I will not be buying Sentinal anymore....not worth it!!! |
