| I feed my shih/pom nature's variety instinct chicken formula. I also add the dry food with the raw boost (he loves the freeze dried chicken!) and it's grain free |

| Purina HA for the Yorkie. Royal Canin SO for the non-Yorkie.

| Rocco gets Taste of the Wild (Sierra Mtn/ lamb) and absoluteley thrives on it. He was on Wellness for about a year - he loved it but his eyes were so runny. Not so with TOW - and he's a picky eater and still eats the dry kibble with no problem at all. No wet food.

| Thank you for all the responses everyone! Currently my dogs (one is a yorkie, the other is a pomeranian/yorkie) are currently on purina beneful (small bites).. which i'm sure is not the best, but it was what I could afford (super long story).. but now i'm able to afford higher quality food for them and they used to be on innova EVO, but because of the recalls i'm a bit hesitant to go back to that. this is in a span of a couple months btw and of course little amounts with their regular foods (so please don't think i'm just giving my dogs all these foods at once!) I did receive samples from companies (Artemis senior and got samples of Artemis small breed i believe, I don't have them in front of me at the moment.. - this didn't work out as it gave Ginger bubbleguts and she didn't like it very much - even when i only gave a little mixed in with her normal food).. I also had a sample of Halo (got from unleashed by petco) and they liked it, but of course always on the hunt for better/more variety ![]() I only got two small samples of Solid Gold and they really liked it, and I like how small it is for them.. I see a lot of you are feeding royal canin, I want to go towards that but my only thing is.. because my other dog is a pomeranian/yorkie - and most of their foods are breed specific, would it be okay to get the yorkie formula? I am going to be feeding our new dutch shepherd puppy orijen (well transition her to orijen as her previous owners had her on pedigree puppy).. and was wondering should I just do all dogs on the same brand (ie. Orijin.,. of course not the same food since my puppy will need puppy food).. I hope I make sense.. I'm just trying to give the best food for my doggies and it's honestly been SO long since i've been on these forums.. |

They also have 'generic' formulas, not only breed specific.

| We finally found one Abbi will eat: Taste of the Wild. She likes the High Prairie flavor best. She also gets boiled chicken breast with green beans. We tried Nutro, Ultra, Merrick, and Iams. She didn't really like any of them and I noticed she was scratching a lot. We switched to TOTW grain free, and the scratching stopped. |

| Thanks again everyone for the input. Decided to go with Royal Canin the mini "adult" mixed some with their old food to see if they'd like it and they ate it ALL up lol which is good, i'm glad they like it! hopefully i'll see a major difference in their coat/skin soon! I decided to go with Orijen large breed puppy food for my other puppy (She's a Dutch Shepherd/German Shepherd) |
