Deanna - so glad Peanut is all okay! And of course, I hope you're feeling better and better after your ablation. Keep hangin' in.

Dawn - Marcel gets multiple bumps too. We had one biopsied and were told they're little follicular cysts. Very rarely, they'll come to little crusted head and we can pull the head out and they sometimes will go away. Most often though, they just keep growing (and never crust over) and eventually we have to have them taken off...these little bumps are such a pain bc when dogs start getting them, they then get them the rest of their lives.

Thank you Ann. Oh thanks so much for sharing this, I'm so happy this is what I get to look forward too LOL. I had a conversation with Peanut last night, I asked him if he was indeed near a frog or possibly maybe even tried to kiss a frog. He just looked at me like I was crazy! LOL

I like CocoTherapy and Nutiva brands. When I tried a less expensive brand, it didn't do much. You want organic, cold pressed, no preservatives -- hexa somethings. I always read it as "hexagons", lol. Coconut oil has many uses.

As Ann indicated, some bumps need to be checked out and removed.

LOL...too funny. Maybe Peanut's are different from Marcel's...I kinda hope so. I think the sebaceous gland type might be different in that they 'come to a head' more commonly...? Where you may be able to get them resolved without a vet. I hope so.

Either that, or it's frog anti-venom for Peanutster.

I have a dumb question -- dogs don't have skin pores like we do, do they? Or is it that they just don't sweat through the pores like we do? If they don't have pores, how do they get blackheads and pimples?

Ya I was, the vet just said it should go away on its own. He said there was no need for meds or anything like that. It doesn't seem to be able to pop or anything. It is just getting smaller and smaller as the days go by.

Yea, two of the pups got one or two and than they just multiplies. Too many if you ask me and they continue to grow. Than Miah started to get them too. I have notices a few bumps that had crusted over. I wasn't sure is it was the same thing of something different that I needed to worry about. I have not found any on Ruby I wonder if it has anything to do with her being a cotton coat ?

Vet says not much you can do about them ether.

No, dogs don't have pores like we do. That is why they need to pant when they get overheated to release the heat from their bodies. Unlike humans who do so through our pores.

Hmm than how do they get clogged pores which than creates these nasty bumps? Very confusing . . .

Yea it think so. . but you cant get warts from frog they come from toads ! But that may just be an old wise tail too.

LOL. Ah yes it is the Toad. If you kiss a toad he will turn into a prince. It is strange to me as a frog and a toad or the same species but yet they are so different.
