So sorry to hear about your pain. I hope you get some relief. I am glad to hear Peanut's problem turned out to be minor with just being clogged oil glands.

Just coming to life after that dog show and seeing this....So happy that Peanut is ok. Sorry about your back...hope you get some relief from the pain. I have chronic back issues and it is not fun.

So glad that Peanut is ok. I've never heard of the oil glands thing, all of my pups have several similar bumps that I was told were caused from clogged sweat glands. I wonder if they are the same thing.

Maybe I need to start grooming them more often too.

I'm happy to hear that the bump is nothing more than a clogged pore. Is this the same as a sebaceous cyst? I think Max had one of those when he was a pup. I put a tiny dab of organic olive oil on it and it went away in 3 days.

More recently, Max had a blackhead on his shoulder. I squeezed the junk out of it and cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. Hasn't come back.

Thank you. Today was super busy. I was off/ then I still had to pick up Pnut, run to Petco to get treats, then pick us up dinner- you know how it is a womans job is never done. I'm laying in bed now on my ice. Ice, Ice baby! Lol I hope tomorrow is better!

Yup thats the medical term Lol. I don't know if I want to mess with it, I guess I can try the aclohol or the olive oil.. Hmmm.

Isn't so strange how they get so many things like humans? Ahh poor Max- how in the world did you notice it with all that hair?

The cyst was before I knew about organic coconut oil, which is what I would use today instead of olive oil. I know it seems counterintuitive to put oil on clogged skin, but both oils have antibacterial and healing properties. I use only a tiny dab.

I check my hairy beasts' skin daily. It's not as hard as you would think.

Is it strange that they get pimples and blackheads.

Very true- I do have coconut oil, maybe I wil try that!! Lol I get frustrated digging on Pnuts ear hair!! Lol

Sound like I may be in need of some coconut oil. All my babies except Ruby have several and they just keep appearing.

Which do you prefer ?
