| Do yorkies get pimples?? I know this sounds crazy, but I have never had any experience with this. Just this morning, we noticed that Zeus has a little pimple like sore on his belly. Could it be an ingrown hair or something more serious?? Any help would be appreciated. Just don't want to take any chances with my little man!

| I would think it could be possible. I think my boxer gets them every once in a while. Think, yorkies are low to the ground, so I bet their tummies get dirty easy, then they have hair, which can probably trap oil, so it sounds very probable.

| I just used the search feature and found that a lot of our babies have had something similar. I am just going to keep an eye on it and take him to the vet, if not better soon. I love the search feature!!

| My yorkie gets them on his stomach and it is from allergies. It's a condition called Pyoderma. You can google Pyoderma and read about it. If it gets bad, your vet can prescribe antibiotics and special shampoo for him. Beau even gets them on his back towards his tail sometimes. I do understand how you feel because the first time he got them, I thought they were ant bites or something. I definitely do not think that your yorkie has a pimple. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I'd say it's an ingrown hair. Can you scrape the head of it to release the pus? edited to add: also, put some neosporin on it or some type of nonstinging antiseptic.

| Thank you all so much. I am going to check it when I get home and if I doesn't look any better, I am going to call the vet, just as a precaution. He is on flea medication, but has been running around the yard a lot lately, who knows what could have bit my little booger!

| It's not pimples Hello All. I posted a similar question several months ago regarding Yitzee. She came out of her kennel she had been in for 2 hours while we were away and she had "pimple-like" sores on her belly. The vet said that it was either an allergic reaction or it was possible that Yitzee was making the change into a little lady and that increases the ph balance and acid in her urine, therefore, making her allergic to her own urine (and she did pee in her kennel while we were away.) |

| Ingrown hairs? Pennie, my toy Yorkie has 2 what look like ingrown hairs on her back. I was feeling one of them to see exactly what it was (I think cancer at first). And I looked a bit closer and some seepage was kind of coming out. I put a little bit of pressure on it and a bit of white stuff came out. Pennie squirmed a bit and I didn't want to hurt her so I am leaving it alone. What is the best thing to do? Leave it, I am worried about infections. Put pressure on it, to get the gook out, I am worried about infection. Take her to the vet? I don't know. She is 4.2 pounds, I worry with anything. |
