Moki can eat anything. He would lick red pepper I put on the baseboard so he wouldn't chew the wood up. The Bitter crap he would lick that also. But Beef he can't handle gives him an upset stomach. Not that I gave him the other crap but the beef I did. Thought it would be okay guess not

I agree, it is easy to turn them into little beggars. During mealtimes for humans, my boys used to go to their beds and patiently wait. I like to keep my boys' expectations low when it comes to treats. That way the treats are considered "high value" rewards for good behavior.

I completely agree with these two statements. I do give Uni some of my food that is appropriate for her, but not until I am done. that way she won't beg during my meal. But will sit very still and quietly and wait. That is her treat for being good. However, when we are at a restaurant eating al fresco, she will usually whine, beg, scream! Esp if we are in a new place. She's getting better, but we still do the same. Nothing for her until we are done. My avatar is her waiting on her own seat at the table while we eat.

I never feed my kiddos what I'm eating...but Chad does. And guess who complains when they're all over him when he's trying to eat?

Anyway, you should try dehydrating.

I make little dehydrated chicken bits as treats, both training size and larger gnawing size...all three kids love them, including every other pup I've met, lol. Even those that are picky.

I share with mine too. Tiny pieces of the same things you share. She's been ok with it so far, but I don't over do it.

Mine got a piece of sausage that fell off a slice of pizza before. She got to it before I could, and took off like a greyhound! By the time I could get to her to get it out of her mouth, she had swallowed it! She loves it, but I wouldn't recommend giving it to them.
