| Simply Nourish Dog Food I was wondering if anyone has any feedback about Simply Nourish? I picked up a few of the canned Chicken & Rice the other day. My pups like it & it looks like a chunkier version of Weruva. I guess it's a PetSmart house brand. It's made in Thailand. Is that something to be concerned about? Also, I'm not sure about PetSmart as a food company. Would love any input anyone has. Thanks! Simply Nourish Natural Dog and Cat Food | PetSmart

| I wouldn't be as concerned about it being made in Thailand, especially if you are comfortable feeding Weruva or Tiki Dog canned food which are also manufactured in Thailand. Brit shared an article in post #3: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-dog-food.html How does your pack seem to like it? I've seen the Simply Nourish at Petsmart but don't know how much I trust them although some formulas look pretty good. |

| Okay. I wasn't sure about the Thailand thing. But you're right about Weruva. I forgot about that. And yeah, my pups do like the food. They even ate reheated leftovers from yesterday for breakfast. The ingredients look pretty good. It's not grain-free, but that's not an issue for me. I esp like that the can comes with a plastic top. It's sooo convenient! I tried to do a search about any reviews and/or negative feedback. But nothing came up. As in NOTHING...just links back to PetSmart. Kinda weird. I was trying to find info about PetSmart as a food company. I'm curious as to who actually manufactures the food. I doubt they have their own food processing plant, right?

| My mom feeds Piper Simply Nourish kibble, and she is thriving on it. Sam will eat it if he is there, but not at home (picky little turd!) He would eat the canned Chicken & Veg, but got to where he even turned his nose up at that. I contacted PetSmart's customer service, and while they would not tell me who exactly makes the kibble, it is made in the US. As far as the canned, most Thai factories have even more stringent safety protocols than US plants.

| Not to scare anyone, but I feed weruva too & Thailand is supposed to have the strictest safety standards when it comes to pet food (MyDearSam actually pointed it out). But I saw a post here from a girl who's dad's dog died from eating chicken jerky made in Thailand. I'm scared to feed weruva now...I have 2 cases left.

I think I got the Simply Nourish idea from MyDearSam too. I didn't see any complaints online or recalls about Simply Nourish...just minor stuff, like my dog got flakey skin or whatever. The article from Brit that Tokipoki linked was interesting.

| No...you did explain it clearly. I just saw Weruva & death in the same paragraph and automatically thought the worst. My fault.

| I remember that thread. Thanks for finding it! I don't think I've ever heard about that company, VitaLife, before. The packaging doesn't look familiar to me. Honestly, I wouldn't be concerned about Weruva just because it's made in the same country. That would be like saying youre not going to feed Fromm because California Naturals was recalled. I realize that the US is a bigger country than Thailand, but it's the same concept. Plus, Weruva has an excellent track record. I wouldn't be concerned. If anything, I'm more inclined to feed Simply Nourish now that I understand the whole "Made in Thailand" thing.

| I use Simply Nourish canned when we go out of town in the RV. I like it because it doesnt look like mystery food. |
