| Chicken treats killed my dog Dog Owners, Lovers: I believe that every great sadness can be used as a learning experience for others, so I would like to share our story with you (please share with others). My dads beautiful almost two year old bull dog died on Fri May 10th, 2013. She was perfectly fine two days before and one day before began to show signs of discomfort. He took her to the vet, where they took blood work. Our dog was in complete Kidney failure! What? How? Why? She is barely 2 years old. Very healthy! The Vet asked one question: do you feed your dog chicken strips from china? Not to his knowledge... but he does feed her the vitalife chicken strips. They claim to be made in Thailand, They stress how HEATHY they are. They say 'made with love'. The vet is 100% sure that this is the cause of the kidney decline and said vets all over the world are seeing this every single day!!! What??? Why are they still able to sell this dog killing stuff? Why is this product and similar products in every single pet store I've ever been in? I don't know! My request to you is: Please do NOT feed this product, any chicken strips or any vitalife products to your dogs EVER again! This did not just only happen to our dog but after much research these past 24 hrs I've learned this is VERY common. There are NO symptoms in most cases until it is too late. These chicken strips are killing dogs! For anybody that isn't convinced yet... pls google it for yourself and you will find hundreds of websites talking about this topic and thousands of dead dogs. | I am so sorry about your dads dog. Thank you for sharing this story. I do not purchase treats for my girls any longer. It's just too risky. Hopefully others will see this as well.

| I'm sorry for your loss. This has been discussed here before, and I'm saddened to read this is still happening. We search for appropriate treats for our beloved pets. It's devastating to find out our special treats are killing them!

| I am so sorry for the loss of your father's dog. Thailand has the strictest food safety standards for pet food, for this reason, I'm feeding mine weruva canned food. Now I'm scared to.

| Thank you so much for taking the trouble to come onto our regional site to post this warning. I've never bought them & certainly won't be tempted to do so now. I'm so very, very sorry that your poor dad had to lose his beautiful dog in this tragic way. |

| Thank you for posting this. And I'm sure sorry about your dad's losing dog this way. I sure hope something can be done to stop this. All we see lately are heartbreaking stories like this and it seems nobody in control is stopping it. Why does this keep happening - does anyone know what in the heck is going wrong?
