YT 2000 Club Member | small update from when my toy poodle was sick and I had contacted Science Diet about their new improved formula possibly making my dog ill. I filled out all the required information that they wanted and after 2 emails I still have not heard back from them on what they thought or how they were handling the situation. This has me extremely dissappointed in thier company. I am not 100 percent positive thier product made 2 of my dogs ill, however seeing they ate nothing else, testing negative for other possible illness's and the vet was pretty convinced it was something they ate, that doesnt leave me with much options other than to beleive it was the food. Not to mention the many complaints on consumer affairs. I am happy to annouce that my two dogs are doing much better, after 3 weeks my little girl finally started feeling normal again and is back to her happy diva self.

| Glad to hear your babies are doing better! I don't know what's happening but 1 of mine threw up all over the place last night, we recently switched & after about a month or so switched back. I think it upset his tummy... Maybe you can email them again & see if you get a response this time.

| I'm glad to hear your pack is feeling better I haven't heard from Hill's either...and that questionnaire was insane! It took me days to fill it all out. They are a really large company. Maybe our paperwork is getting tossed around to different departments? But I suppose that isn't an excuse. An unhappy customer is never good. I switched my Lab from Science Diet to Royal Canin for a while. Then I tried the Science Diet Ideal Balance again, the Grain-Free Chicken. He needs the smaller bites. He's doing really well on that. I think it was the Science Diet "Improved Formula" that made him sick. My little ones are on Royal Canin & doing just fine. Thanks for your update! I'll update if I get a reply from Hill's.

| I am glad your little one is doing better. I,too, am not happy with Hill's. I was percribed the hill's kd for my sammy. It has corn meal and he get horrible skin issues with corn, and then he stoped eatting it. I called them for help (as my vet told me to) and was told nothing of value. P**** in a can in my opinion!

| I have been feeding mine Hills( Vet recommended) but moving over to Wellness. After reading and hearing soo many views and soo many comments about different foods for Yorkies I am just too confused on what to feed. A real list from some real Pros would help

It's things like this that I keep hearing about that make me glad I've always home cooked. Too many sickness, cancers and other major health issues going on in epidemic proportion, so do some research.

No, they are all off science diet now. I am feeding them royal canin, however having 5 dogs and a limited budget right now (hubby is on strike. ) I may have to switch to something cheaper for a little bit. I have noticed that Tuck (yorkie mix) is itching a little more than normal since the switch but he has seasonal allergies and it may just be from the pollens/grasses. If they do get back to me I will update again.

YT 3000 Club Member | chester has always done well on solid gold with not much switching out, they are always great about asking questions and calling me back within a short amount of time. I just recently changed to acana because he was getting tired of the sundancer grain free, and he done great on it. |
