| You can always try over the counter treatments but treatments from the vet honestly aren't that expensive. Also, just b/c he has tapeworms might not be the ultimate reason he'sdragging his booty on the floor. Usually, that is a sign of his anal glands needing to be expressed or allergies. If it's allergies though he'd be doing it all the time. Hope that helps some!

| Well, I called my vet this morning and they told me to bring in a stool sample, which I did. I also took in A LOT of segments I found in his bedding in his crate just from last night. There were over 30 of them! OMG! They told me that his fecal exam proved MAJOR positive for tapeworms and the ladies out front told me that he has the highest amount of any dogs they've ever seen with tapeworms! Talk about making me feel like the worlds worst momma.. But they reasurred me that it's no harm done and gave me a prescription of Drontal (any experience with this drug anyone?) which I gave him all at once. And I talked to them about how I really didn't want to have to put him on any medication for flea preventative etc but she reasurred me that the regular flea advantix by advantage is the best and least dangerous of all others. I apply it to his back between his shoulder blades and it protects for 30 days, it was only $15. She uses it on her weiner dog and has never had any ill effects. I'm pretty apprehensive but am willing to try anything to make him better. I am now in the process of also looking for some pet safe flea killing powder, spray, bombs etc. So any tips on that would very much appriciated too!
